For patterns requiring inset pages please follow instructions from point 1)

For patterns not with inset pages please follow instructions from point 2)

1)Fold every other alternate page in  towards the spine your desired width,

for these patterns I use 1cm.

Continue until you have done this throughout the book.   

​

2)Now starting at the beginning of the book either use the picture graph or the measure & mark pattern.

Work the pattern on the other pages that have not been previously folded in step 1

Picture Graph

Mark the pages as in Image (b) and image ©   ( c)

Using each vertical set of lines as each page, just cut in 1cm (or your desired depth) inline with the folded pages and foldback that section of line, as in image ( d)

Mark & Measure Pattern

Mark each measurement from top to the bottom for each page as in image (e) e.g  5.2, 7.1, 7.4, 9.7, 10, 12.5, 12.7, 16.2

Then cut in 1cm (or your desired depth) in line with the folded pages. And fold back every other section along that pag, as in image (d) above

NB PLEASE NOTE THAT ON SOME PATTERNS SOME FOLD MEASUREMENTS MAY HAVE 2 NUMBERS THE SAME ON EACH FOLD LINE ; IN THIS CASE PLEASE JUST ADD 0.1mm

ONTO THE 2ND MEASUREMENT…..this unfortunately is a glitch in the software as the measurement is such a small fraction it rounds it up to the nearest decimal point.
